Zion National Park Kolob Canyon

Many people do not realize this but Zion National Park can be divided into four sections Zion Canyon (the main hub), The Narrows, Kolob Canyons, and the Kolob Terrace/East Zion.   We started with Kolob Canyon as we were coming from the North with the intent to start working our way east.   Most people visit the main part of the park which was definitely noticeable as Kolob Canyons was quite peaceful whereas the main part of the park was quite crowded!

We did part of the Taylor Creek Trail, just past the first cabin.   This is one of those cases were we adjusted our plan based on energy levels.  With having hiked at Tipanogos Cave National Monument the day before we all had limited energy.   One of the most important rules of any safe hiking adventure is to know your limits!  It still was a great opportunity to enjoy the scenic view the trail had to offer and to truly appreciate Zion National Park.
